Avalon Cream – 100% British Rare Breed Double Sheepskin Rug | 190 cm × 73 cm
Handcrafted in our Somerset workshop, Avalon Cream takes its name from one of those memorable days when the view across to Glastonbury Tor was exceptionally clear. Looking out across the landscape that has surrounded our family workshop for so many years, the soft cream tones of this beautiful double seemed to capture that same gentle light, making the name feel like the perfect fit.
Made from two individually hand-selected British rare breed sheepskins, each fleece was carefully chosen before being thoughtfully matched and hand-stitched together here in Somerset. Finding two sheepskins that complement one another so naturally is a slow process, but it’s what gives every one of our doubles its own unique character.
Avalon Cream has a beautifully soft ivory fleece with warm buttercream tones running throughout. Around the outer edges you’ll notice subtle darker natural shading, adding just enough depth and contrast to frame the lighter centre without taking away from its calm, elegant appearance. Every shade you see is completely natural, with no dyes or bleach used.
Wonderfully deep, soft and inviting underfoot, this 100% British rare breed double sheepskin rug brings warmth, texture and timeless character to any home, whether draped over a sofa, laid beside a bed or placed in front of a favourite chair.

As with every rug we make, the sheepskin you see is the exact one you’ll receive. Before photographing, we carefully brush each rug by hand in our workshop, and we’ll include a complimentary sheepskin brush with your purchase (while stocks last).

We call these “Organic” sheepskins because they are entirely free of any bleach or dye, they have still been tanned to preserve the hide, but the colouring and patterns have been left 100% utterly as nature intended. We do our very best to take these photographs in natural light and we do not alter the colouring post production. However as much as we try to give a clear reflection on the colouring, sheepskin is a natural product and in some lights tones may appear differently, this is the beauty of buying such a unique sheepskin.
