Sheepland Ltd is supporting the Campaign for Wool.

6 years ago in 2010 a campaign was set up to raise awareness about the amazing qualities that wool offers like the fact it is a natural, renewable and biodegradable resource.

This campaign is encouraging unions between the international community of all aspects of the sheep industry like the manufacturers, the retailers, the artisan designers and the fashion designers. This campaign is to educate the consumers about how amazing wool is as a commodity. Since it was launched the campaign has seen a greater demand for wool across the world, the effects of this have seen an increase by threefold to the farmers for their wool.

It is supported by major retailers, traders and artisans like Barber, Marks and Spencer’s, Topshop and Vivienne Westwood to name a few.

See the video of HRH Prince Charles here explaining why this campaign has been set up.

Prince Charles is still continuing his campaign and very recently revived his campaign, on the 9th of September 2016 there was a conference in Scotland of all the prominent wool industry leaders. It was here that they discussed animal welfare, sustainability and quality amongst other things. This is ‘the largest gathering of Wool experts to take place in Britain’.
