We have been handcrafting these in our Somerset Workshop since 1988, using the traditional methods with nothing but the finest British sheepskin. For a throughly British and luxurious Hat, look no further than our timeless, classic Cossack. These handmade Sheepskin Cossack Hats are perfect for keeping your head toasty warm on frosty winter days!
Fantastic with the matching Sheepskin Boots, from walking the dog to a winter wedding – they are marvellous for any occasion. We make them with long fur sheepskin in Ivory or Black, with a single piece of whole fleece twin face sheepskin making the crown. The flat panel of twin face sheepskin, keeps the top of your head beautifully warm, with the suede skin side facing outwards.
The Ivory Cossack has a Chocolate Brown panel and the Black has a matching black panel. We have experimented with some new colours, so currently we are offering: Ivory, Black, Chocolate, Grey and Wolf Tipped.
These make lovely gifts and have a real wow factor, not to mention every piece is hand cut, stitched and finished by us in our Workshop.
Made in one size approx 54-57cm – We can make larger sizes on request.

Please note that as Sheepskin is a natural product it varies in colour tone. The hats are a made from an ivory fur not bright white.

I am now the very happy owner of this rather fabulous hat – I don’t usually buy anything online, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the accurate descriptions and the prompt delivery of my order. The fleece is beautifully soft and fluffy, it fits very well and I am extremely pleased with it – can’t wait for the winter weather now! I also bought the ladies gloves, in grey. I had some gloves before which were quite solid & stiff – but these are soft, supple and warm, also a great product. I too am an owner of this fabulous hat. I absolutely LOVE it. It’s beautiful and so glad I decided on this one. The hat was originally out of stock but was informed that it could take up to two weeks to arrive. It arrived in less than two! I had emails of despatch and a tracking number. It’s also nice to know it’s British Made as well. I would have no hesitation in recommending your beautiful products. Bring on the cold weather! Have purchased the Wolf tipped Cossack hat which is lovely, ordering and delivery excellent kept fully updated on tracking. Will be looking at purchasing some boots and gloves too. However was a little puzzled that on the website it stated that the Wolf tipped Cossack hat was ‘ non-returnable ‘ was a bit puzzled by this …. but thankfully my hat was fab

I’ve had a few pairs of slipper boots and another hat from sheepland. Quality is always brilliant and long lasting.
I loved this hat when I first saw it but delayed my purchase thinking that’s too much hat for me but when a voucher popped into my inbox who was I to refuse.
After much deliberation I went with the chocolate wolf tipped option. It’s very impressive, fluffy and surprisingly sturdy in its construction.
The fit started off quite snug but slackened after a few days of use and is now perfect. I guess it’s like wearing in new shoes.
I get lots of compliments, it makes me smile when I see myself in it and it makes those cold dark dog walks much more cozy.
