We are incredibly proud to share this beautiful 100% British Undyed Rare Breed Double Sheepskin Rug in what we’ve lovingly nicknamed “Honey Cinnamon”, inspired by its rich honeyed tones softly layered with warm cinnamon shading running naturally through the fleece.

There is something wonderfully comforting about this particular rug. The colours feel deeply earthy and heritage inspired, with soft toasted tones that instantly bring warmth and character into a room. The fleece itself is beautifully silky and full, with a luxurious texture that simply begs to be touched.

This rug has been entirely hand matched, hand stitched and hand finished by us in our small Somerset workshop using carefully selected British rare breed sheepskins. Slow made in the heart of the countryside, overlooking fields not far from Glastonbury Tor, these rugs are becoming increasingly rare as fewer and fewer traditional British makers remain.

We are genuinely one of the last remaining companies in the UK still creating authentic British double sheepskin rugs entirely by hand from natural undyed British fleeces. Every stage is carried out with care and patience, from selecting the individual sheepskins through to matching their tones and textures so they sit beautifully together as one finished piece.

The sheepskins themselves come from British sheep that have been grazed, culled and tanned within the UK. Free from bleach and completely undyed, the remarkable colouring you see within this rug is entirely natural. The soft honey shades, deeper cinnamon undertones and subtle variations across the fleece are all part of what makes rare breed British sheepskin so special. Nature creates tones and markings that simply cannot be replicated artificially.

Each rug we make tells its own story. No two are ever quite alike.

The fleece has a wonderfully organic appearance, full of depth and movement, with exceptionally soft fur that feels luxurious underfoot or draped across furniture. Whether placed beside a fireplace, over a favourite chair, at the end of a bed or within a cosy reading corner, this rug brings an unmistakable sense of warmth and heritage craftsmanship into the home.

As with all genuine undyed sheepskin, the tones may shift slightly depending on the natural light within your home. We photograph all of our rugs in natural daylight and never artificially alter the colouring afterwards, as we believe the real beauty lies in their authenticity.
