A wonderfully soft and elegant double sheepskin rug, impossible to overlook. At first glance, Dove Meadow appears a gentle natural ivory, but look a little closer and subtle hints of dove grey emerge through the fleece. The tones shift softly across the rug, creating a wonderfully understated appearance with no harsh contrasts, just a quiet blend of natural shades that feels calm, timeless and beautifully balanced.

This is a 100% British undyed sheepskin rug, made using rare breed fleeces from British farms, tanned here in the South West, with no bleach or dyes. Every shade, every marking and every variation is exactly as nature intended.

We hand-select each fleece ourselves at the tannery, choosing for softness, character and harmony. From there, they are carefully paired and hand-stitched together in our Somerset workshop, a slow and considered process that can take hours to get just right.

We have been making sheepskin rugs here in Somerset since 1986, and it remains a traditional, hands-on craft. Rugs like this are becoming increasingly difficult to create, with fewer fleeces available and even fewer that complement one another well enough to form a beautiful double. That is what makes pieces like this so special.

The fleece is wonderfully soft and tactile, with a silky feel and gentle movement throughout. Depending on the light, the subtle grey undertones become more or less visible, giving the rug an almost ever-changing character.

Chosen entirely by hand, it works beautifully in the home, draped over a chair, laid at the end of a bed or placed in front of the fire.
