Lovingly crafted in our family workshop in the rolling hills of Somerset, each Japanese knot-style bag is cut, stitched and finished entirely by hand from full-grain British leather. The simple twist-through handle secures your essentials without zips or clasps, freeing your hands for life’s wanderings while keeping everything safely tucked inside.

A knot with centuries of cleverness

Our bag is modelled on the traditional Japanese “azuma bukuro” (often called a knot or furoshiki bag). Two handles slip through one another to form a soft knot that:

• Tightens under its own weight—the heavier the contents, the snugger the closure, so nothing spills.

• Sits naturally on the wrist or forearm for true hands-free carrying—perfect for markets, festivals or everyday errands.

• Unknots in a single motion, opening wide so you can see everything at a glance (no rummaging in dark corners).
