Mendip Pearl | 100% British Rare Breed Double Sheepskin Rug | 198 cm × 72 cm
Handcrafted in our Somerset workshop, this beautiful Mendip Pearl double sheepskin rug has a lovely sense of movement and warmth running all the way through it.
A beautifully understated fleece with a soft ivory appearance and a gentle grey underfleece peeking through in places. Around the outer edges, the fur has delicate taupe shading which adds depth without distracting from the light, creamy centre. The overall effect is calm, elegant and wonderfully natural, making it an easy choice for both modern and traditional interiors.
Made from 100% British sheepskin, this rug has been carefully hand-selected, laid out and stitched together by us here in Somerset. Each fleece is chosen for its softness, density and tone, then thoughtfully matched so everything flows beautifully from end to end.
It is a slow, hands-on process, but it is what allows us to create pieces with this kind of character and balance.
The fleece is wonderfully full and soft underfoot, with those butterscotch tones bringing a gentle richness while still keeping that light, airy feel.
From our family to yours, this is a rug made with care, patience and a real pride in traditional craft.

If you have any trouble at all, please do not hesitate to call us on 01458 850991 and we can help. We call these “Organic” sheepskins because they are entirely free of any bleach or dye, they have still been tanned to preserve the hide, but the colouring and patterns have been left 100% utterly as nature intended. We do our very best to take these photographs in natural light and we do not alter the colouring post production. However as much as we try to give a clear reflection on the colouring, sheepskin is a natural product and in some lights tones may appear differently, this is the beauty of buying such a unique sheepskin.
