Made by our own hands here in our small Somerset workshop, this one-off Jacob style rug has been carefully created from two beautifully soft, dyed Jacob-style sheepskins.

Each piece has been individually selected, then hand-cut, shaped and stitched together here at our workshop, just as we’ve been doing since 1986. It’s a slow, hands-on process, and one we still carry out in the same rural setting, with everything handled by our small team from start to finish.

These fleeces are dyed to mimic the natural markings of the traditional Jacob breed, with rich chocolate tones scattered across a soft ivory base. We’ve paired two skins that sit beautifully together in both tone and pattern, creating a balanced double with a natural, flowing look.

The result is a characterful little rug with that classic Jacob feel, full of depth and contrast, yet still soft and easy to live with.

At 110 cm × 60 cm, it’s a really versatile size, ideal beside a bed, draped over a chair or bench, or used as a cosy layer wherever you’d like a bit of extra warmth and texture. The fleece is dense, soft and inviting, offering that lovely cushioned feel underfoot or when seated.

As with all genuine sheepskin, each piece carries its own natural variation, which is part of what makes it so special.

This is a one-off piece, handmade here in Somerset, and has been priced accordingly, so it is non-returnable.
